The Cayman Islands have one of the highest standards of living in all of the Caribbean. In order to make it the financial leader it is the billionaires came in to add all of the best utilities, but being such a small island this means that the basic costs of electricity, water, and such end up being burdensome to the average, non-wealthy, citizens and debilitating to the poorest. Being such a small island makes manufacturing essentially impossible (literally no room for factories or storage of raw materials) and agriculture insufficient. Everything from hamburger meat, to t-shirts, to refined gasoline have to be imported (an expensive prospect) and the only real taxes that the government collects are on imported goods. The basic costs of daily living leave most Caymanians living hand to mouth each month. Imagine the costs necessary to start the island's first youth ministry - it's comparable to starting a small business! Ask me directly to hear more specifically about my expenses.
What Kinds of Donations?
Cheerful giving!
Really, there are limitless good causes for you to helping financially and I believe that God has created us all with different passions for the very expressed purpose of seeing to it that needs of all kinds get taken care of. The kind of givers that I am looking for are people with a passion for any of the following: 1) Local Church Youth Ministry, 2) The needy living in the Caribbean / Cayman, or 3) Me. If you care at all about any of those three things then I really want you to be a part of my team giving whatever you can! Don't give under great duress - give out of passion!
My needs:
The amount of money that I need to raise is large enough that it is not really feasible to raise it all ahead of time (like you might for a week or month long mission) so what I need is good faith pledges that enough money will come in each month to cover my monthly expenses. I will be the district's only paid youth pastor and I need to cover the monthly operating budget of running that ministry.
All sorts of giving!
Have you searched your budget and realized that you only have $37.58 left over for this year - then make that a one time gift!
Do you want to make large annual gifts? My MTW team will take it and spread it out over my monthly budget.
Maybe you want to teach your family about giving? - Give up one night of eating out per month and send the money you would have spent.
Are you having trouble making ends meet? I personally support some missionaries for $10/month - because every dollar counts! Try $5/month!
Think about setting up a monthly electronic funds transfer - become a monthly donor of larger amounts if possible!

Deputized Giving!
I am blessed to have an entire team of people behind me. Not only have they done extensive research to help set my budget, but they also manage all of the ministry donations that come in. To be tax deductible, your contributions need to be made out to "Mission to the World" with my name and number (14071) in the Memo line. They are a proven organization (501 c3) with hundreds of missionaries around the world with all of the expertise in this field that are imaginable. I have one representative at HQ who knows me personally and her whole job is making sure that my donors can give as easily as possible and that I am as safe and looked after as I can be. To be legit with the government your money must technically go to them (they take care of my insurances, my social security, etc) but they are "deputized" to allocate it to my ministry.
How?
Under the "Donate" tab at the top of this page I have more detailed information about the three main ways to support my ministry.

My MTW representatives want to work with you to set up your giving however you are most comfortable doing so. There are many more options that just those three:
Call them at 1-866-373-6133 or e-mail them at [email protected], mention my name and number (14071) and they will personally work with you to set up whatever is best for you! They might find some very creative ways that help all of us out best!
The credit card giving does carry with it a tiny fee

Additional FAQ
Q: When should I start giving?
A: As soon as you are capable / comfortable. My ministry has a two year field commitment and, therefore, my monthly expenses will not begin prior to that. However, there are lots of one time of expenses that I need to begin to cover as well. This includes everything from paying up to $150 to renew my passport, training expenses, plane ticket to get there (and to bring all of my luggage for two years), the usual payment of the first month/last month rent when I move in, etc. If you can't give right away that is great (see section on Cheerful Giving!) - but my ministry includes not only the two years in the field, but the months that it will take for me to raise the budget, speak to churches/families here in the states, and my training. I am getting no income during this time and need support to make this happen
Q: What happens with leftover money?
A: This is why I am so grateful to have a great team behind me. Since my ministry has a two year field commitment they will monitor my giving closely and when we begin to get to the end of those two years they will actually begin cutting you off ahead of time so that when the two field years are over we will end as close to a $0 balance as possible! They are so smart!
Q: I have more questions, can we talk?
A: Yes, please! Contact me via the form on my homepage and let's set up a time to talk. If I am in the country I will do all that I can to meet with you in person, tell you stories, show you pictures, explain the numbers in detail, and get a chance to know you better!
